  quantum systems. To transform quantum non-locality and\ncoherence from th
 eoretical curiosities into technological assets requires\novercoming the h
 urdles of environmental decoherence and hardware\nscalability. Quantum con
 trol theory provides the essential toolkits for\nthis mission --- controll
 ability analysis\, defining the boundaries of what\nis possible\, and opti
 mized pulse design\, deriving high-fidelity protocols\nto realize those go
 als. After a short introduction to the basic principles\,\nI will present 
 our recent results demonstrating how control theory enables\nthe optimizat
 ion of experimental quantum platforms and the discovery of\nnovel phenomen
