  the quantum world is one of humanity’s  greatest endeavors over the pa
 st century. Despite remarkable achievements\, big open questions persist. 
 In particle physics\, these are addressed by producing heavy particles at 
 powerful colliders or by investigating subtle quantum effects at colliders
  and beyond.DESY\, the German National Laboratory of particle physics\, ha
 s been at the forefront of these endeavors for nearly seven decades. The c
 olloquium will provide an overview of DESY’s particle physics program\, 
 encompassing both large-scale international experiments at colliders and s
 maller dedicated experiments at DESY to search for light and feebly intera
 cting particles such as axions. The presentation will also delve into DESY
 ’s core activities for the particle physics community\, including accele
 rators\, detectors and computing to theoretical physics.\n\nhttps://indico
