DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Stefan Schoppmann (JGU Mainz)\n\n\nPositive double w
eak decays are rare nuclear disintegration processes. Difficulties in thei
r measurement arise from suppressed decay probabilities\, experimentally c
hallenging decay signatures and low natural abundances of suitable candida
te nuclei. In this presentation\, we propose NuDoubt++\, a new detector co
ncept to overcome these challenges. It is based on the first-time combinat
ion of hybrid and opaque scintillation detector technology paired with nov
el light read-out techniques. This approach is particularly suitable detec
ting positron (beta plus) signatures. We expect to discover positron-emitt
ing two-neutrino double weak decay modes within 1 tonne-week exposure and
are able to probe positron-emitting neutrinoless double weak decays at sev
eral orders of magnitude improved significance compared to current experim
 ental limits. \n\n\nhttps://indico.zdv.uni-mainz.de/event/93/
